Municipalities Owe 11.09 Bln Ytl To Treasury

ANKARA - Metropolitan municipalities and dependent bodies owe a total amount of 11.96 bln YTL (8.3 billion USD) to Turkish Treasury, said state minister Ali Babacan on Wednesday.
Babacan replied a question motion by Kemal Demirel, MP from Republican People's Party (CHP).
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, together with EGO (Electricity-Gas-Bus Administration) and ASKI (Ankara Water & Sewerage Administration) owes 3.77 billion YTL, and ranks first in the debtors list.
On the other hand, Babacan said 4.2 billion YTL of the 11.09 billion YTL debt, is overdue.
