GAZIANTEP - "What we have to do to eradicate terror in our region is to promote further trade," said Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen on Wednesday.
The Second Iraq International Fair, co-sponsored by the Iraqi Ministry of Trade and Turkish Forum Fairs Co., has opened its doors in southeastern city of Gaziantep on Wednesday.
Speaking at the inauguration of the fair, Tuzmen noted that Turkey's goal in 2007 is to reach an exports amount of 100 billion USD.
"In summary, I can state that we know 'this business'. We want to share our knowledge and experiences with our neighboring countries. We are aware of the fact that when our trade volume increases, income per capita in Turkey also increases. The most important thing we can do to erase terrorism in the region is to promote further trade and investments. We are waiting for days when richness will be shared by the regional countries," stressed Tuzmen.
