ANKARA - Turkish international cable and satellite operator Turksat introduced to the world its Broadband VSAT Project, which would help conduct video-conference communication between central hospitals and remote ones.
In a meeting of the European Satellite Operators Association (ESOA) held in Greek capital Athens on Wednesday, also attended by Turkish former Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, doctors of a Turkish hospital in Ankara explained how they utilize VSAT project.
Turksat's Broadband VSAT Project enables technical infrastructure services for rapid and interactive communication between central hospitals and hospitals in remote areas. It also allows surgeries or training programs in research hospitals to be watched live by doctors in remote areas via video-conference.
48 hospitals in Turkey will be linked to each other once the project is completed.
