IZMIR/HATAY/MERSIN - Turkish security forces arrested a total of 75 illegal migrants on Tuesday during their operations throughout Turkey.
Gendarmerie teams intercepted 43 Somalian immigrants in a truck in Buca town of Aegean city of Izmir who wanted to sneak into Greece.
Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, gendarmerie squads in Samandag town of southern city of Hatay seized 17 Syrian illegal immigrants trying to go to Cyprus island.
In another operation in Mediterranean city of Mersin, Turkish gendarmerie arrested 8 Georgian, 6 Syrian, 1 Palestinian illegal immigrants and 4 people in connection with human trafficking.
Police said all immigrants would be deported.
