Sabanci: We Support Constructive And Compromising Attitude Of Government In Cyprus Process

ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul received on Friday the delegation of Association of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSIAD) headed by its president Omer Sabanci.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sabanci said that they exchanged views with Gul about important issues regarding Turkey's EU membership bid.
Sabanci said that TUSIAD informed Gul about its activities regarding EU membership in the year 2004, adding that they also listened to the views and suggestions of Gul.
Upon a question about Cyprus negotiations, Sabanci said that the attitude of TUSIAD about the issue was very clear and the association welcomed the starting of the negotiations.
Sabanci noted that TUSIAD supported the constructive and compromising attitude of the government and TRNC President Rauf Denktas and wished them success.
