ANKARA - A number of people were injured while some others were killed in the explosion in the Turkish capital city of Ankara.
Sources said that the explosion occurred in a shopping center in the busy commercial neighborhood of the capital city at around 16.45 local time.
The explosion caused damage in the shopping center by shattering windows and scattering debris onto the street.
According to preliminary reports, 17 people were taken to nearby hospitals.
Sources said that some people were killed in the explosion.
Search-and-rescue teams have rushed to the scene of the explosion. On the other hand, bomb disposal experts have begun searching the scene to determine the cause of the blast.
