IZMIR - The International Eurasia Archeology Congress kicked off in Cesme town of Aegean city of Izmir, it was reported on Tuesday.
250 Archeologists from Russia, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Krygyzsistan and Azerbaijan are attending the congress chaired by Assistant Professor Semih Güneri of Izmir Dokuz Eylul University Archeology Department.
The congress that was jointly organised by Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Izmir Governorship and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will last for three days.
World famous archeologists Sergei Minyaev, Prof Emine Gursoy Naskali, Vladimir Kubarev, Dimitri Savinov were awarded at the first day of the congress for their services and contributions to Archeology.
