Aselsan And Defense Industry Undersecreteriat Sign An Agreement For Defense Systems Against Electronic Warfare

ANKARA - ASELSAN and Defense Industry Undersecretariat Tuesday signed an agreement for the installation of defense systems against `Electronic Warfare` on the choppers in the inventory of Turkish Armed Forces.
The signature ceremony was held at the IDEF 2007 with the participation of ASELSAN General Director Cengiz Ergeneman and Defense Industry Undersecretariat officials.
Under the project run solely with national resources, missile, radar and laser warning systems, radar jammers and anti-Chaff/Flare systems are being installed on 11 different aircraft in the TSK inventory.
So far 8 different helicopters were equipped with some of the said defense systems against electronic warfare, it was reported.
At the second stage of the project the systems which are being designed will be installed on aircraft in 2010.
