CHP's Canan Resigns From His Party

ANKARA - Esat Canan, a deputy of the Republican People`s Party (CHP) from Hakkari, has resigned from his party on Tuesday.
In a press briefing at the parliament, Canan indicated that "it is impossible for him to conduct politics within CHP."
Following Canan`s resignation, CHP`s number of seats in the parliament dropped to 149, while the number of independent deputies rose to 13.
