ISTANBUL - Turkish director Fatih Akin`s film "Yasamin Kiyisinda" (The Edge of Heaven) which is running for "Palme d`Or" at this year`s Cannes festival, will be shown on Tuesday.
The film will be first shown in the morning for the press and a press conference will be held with the attendance of the cast and the director.
Later in the evening the gala premiere with the attendance of the cast, and the producer will be held for the guests.
The Film was co-produced jointly by Anka Film from Turkey, Corazon International and NDR from Germany and Dorje Film from Italy.
The Edge of Heaven, directed by Fatih Akin, starring Tuncel Kurtiz (Ali Aksu), Nursel Kose (Yeter Ozturk), Patrycia Ziolkowska (Lotte Staub), Hanna Schygulla (Suzanne Staub), Nurgul Yesilcay (Ayten Ozturk) and Baki Davrak (Nejat Aksu) tells the story of six people who are connected to each other by fate and come together following a death.
On the other hand, Semih Kaplanoglu`s movies, "Yumurta (Egg)" and "Sut (Milk)" will compete within the "Quinzaine de Realisateurs" and "Atelier" categories respectively.
