Jouyet Reiterates French Proposal On "privileged Partnership" To Turkey

PARIS - French Minister for European Affairs Jean-Pierre Jouyet on Tuesday reiterated proposal of France to give "privileged partnership" to Turkey within the EU.
In an exclusive interview with the RTL radio, Jouyet said he did not feel uneasy over the proposal of French President Nicolas Sarkozy on the matter.
Jouyet defended that assessing the borders of the EU was lying under the discussions for Turkey`s EU membership.
The French minister in an earlier statement in Brussels refrained from giving a clear reply whether France would hinder opening of new chapters in Turkey`s negotiation process.
