ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 215 million U.S. dollars to 70 billion 783 million U.S. dollars between January 30 and February 6, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 70 billion 568 million U.S. dollars on January 30.
Foreign exchange deposits increased 102 million U.S. dollars to 53 billion 372 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 239 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 923 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits decreased 137 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 449 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market decreased 188 million U.S. dollars to 509 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 320 million U.S. dollars to 17 billion 731 million U.S. dollars between February 6 and 13.
