Cooperation In Fight Against Terrorism To Be Main Agenda Item Of Gul's Visit To Russia

ANKARA - Turkey and Russia aim to strengthen relations with the visit of Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul to Russia between February 23 and 26.
Russia's Ankara Embassy stated on Thursday that bilateral relations, international and regional issues would be taken up during Gul's visit.
The Embassy stated that cooperation in fight against international terrorism would have an important place during meetings and Ankara started to take into consideration Moscow's sensitivity on Chechen problem.
Sides will take up issues such as increasing commercial and economic relations between the two countries, cooperation opportunities on energy field, Turkish investments in Russia, restoring stability in Caucasia and Central Asia, making Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization more active and developing cooperation on military-technical and aerospace fields.
A ''bilateral document'' with the participation of Russian Transportation Ministry and Archive Institution and ''consultations plan'' of 2004-2005 between Turkish and Russian Foreign Ministries will be signed.
