Dutch Students Open Repaired Village School

SILVAN - A village school in Silvan town of southeastern city of Diyarbakir, which was repaired by a group of Dutch students, was re-opened on Monday.
A total of 25 Dutch students from the ROC Albeda College in Rotterdam participated in the renovation process of Taspinar Primary School in Silvan, upon the proposal of Mustafa Mermi, a Turkish citizen from Silvan who currently resides in the Netherlands.
Delivering a speech at the inaugural ceremony, subgovernor of Silvan Veysel Beyru thanked the Dutch students for their participation and support.
Meanwhile, ROC Albeda College's Assistant Manager Cor Flach stated that the students arrived in Silvan in order to examine the education system in the town and to undergo a practical training.
"Today we not only inaugurate this school, but also the friendship dialogue between Turkey and the Netherlands," Flach noted at the ceremony.
