ANTALYA - "Approximately 7.5 million tourists visited Antalya each year and we earned around 5.5 billion USD of income a year," said Alaaddin Yuksel, Governor of Mediterranean city of Antalya, on Monday.
Taking the floor at a conference in Antalya, Yuksel said mostly German, Dutch and Russian tourists preferred Antalya for their holidays in Turkey.
Indicating that Antalya hosts tourists in 1,000 hotels, including 200 five-star hotels and holiday resorts, in a 640-kilometer coastal area, Yuksel said these hotels and resorts have a total of 450,000 beds.
