Exports To Neighboring And Peripheral Countries Up

ANKARA - Turkey's exports to the neighboring and peripheral countries increased 44.5 percent, to 8.4 billion USD in the first quarter of the year.
According to a report released by the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretariat, Turkey's exports to seven neighboring countries (i.e. Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq and Syria) rose 33.6 percent to 2.4 billion USD.
Turkey exported goods of 658.6 million USD to Iraq, 492.5 million USD to Greece, 428.8 million USD to Bulgaria, 285.3 million USD to Iran.
On the other hand, exports to 45 peripheral countries climbed 49.2 percent to 6 billion USD.
