Karsan To Export Taxi Cabs To U.S. And Canada

ISTANBUL - Karsan Automobile Industry & Trade Corp. will export specially designed taxi cabs to the USA and Canada, industrial sources indicated on Monday.
According to a press release issued by Karsan, the company signed a (MOU) making possible the export of taxi cabs to the United States and Canada for the next 10 years.
Based on the MOU, Karsan is expected to export an average of 20,000 taxis to the U.S. and Canada and earn an average of 400 million USD in revenues per year.
The "Standard Taxi"s prototype was introduced at the New York Auto Show last April and received praises from auto experts due to its comfort, security, new and original design, and ease of use by disabled.
Karsan was founded in 1966 and its headquarters is in western city of Bursa. It employs over 700 workers.
