We Won't Have Any Problem In Foreign Trade, Tuzmen

ANKARA - "I believe that we will have no problem in foreign trade due to the upcoming general elections," said Kursad Tuzmen, Turkish State Minister, on Monday.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A, Tuzmen said: "there are rumours that the elections will (negatively) affect Turkey's foreign trade. I do not agree with such speculations."
Tuzmen stressed that Turkey's goal in foreign trade in 2007 is to reach an export volume of 100 billion USD.
"Income per capita in Turkey is slightly over 5,000 USD. Just look around ...You will not see any well functioning democracy in countries where per capita income is less than 15,000 USD. For this reason, we have to increase our national income. And, increasing income means increasing the volume of exports. There is no other way," underlined Tuzmen.
