WASHINGTON D.C. - Turkish people living in the United States held a "Forever Secular Turkey" rally in Washington D.C. on Sunday.
People carrying banners and pictures of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk gathered in the Lafayette Park near the White House. They first listened to the Turkish and the U.S. national anthems. Several speeches were delivered to highlight importance of secularism in Turkey.
Later, they marched to the Dupont Center in the city center by chanting slogans.
