LEFKOSA - TRNC President Rauf Denktas said on Thursday that Cyprus problem would be sorted out by negotiations and by the votes of the people in referendum.
Speaking to A.A correspondent while leaving TRNC Presidential Office to go to Cyprus talks, Denktas said that the people should understand well Annan plan.
Regarding the explosion that took place in front of TRNC Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat's home, TRNC President Denktas said that ''this news got all of us down. I hope it won't be repeated.''
Denktas stated that Cyprus issue would be sorted out by negotiations and the vote to be given by people in referendum. ''We are very sorry about the explosion which took place in front of the house of TRNC Prime Minister hours before the beginning of the talks today. Turkish Cypriot people don't deserve that.''
Denktas stressed that the decision would be given by the people at the end of the negotiations, adding ''rather than bombing places, resorting to violence, and swearing, they should watch the negotiations well. They should understand what Annan plan means if we can't change it and they should go and vote in all conscience.''
TRNC Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas, TRNC Presidential Office Undersecretary Ergun Olgun, TRNC Prime Ministry Undersecretary Aytug Plumer, TRNC's representative to Washington Osman Ertug and Foreign Ministry official Feyza Olgun are in the TRNC delegation headed by TRNC President Rauf Denktas.
