Six wounded as bomb blast rocks Lebanese capital

BEIRUT - Six people were wounded as a bomb blast rocked a district of the mainly Muslim western sector of Lebanon's capital late on Monday, setting cars ablaze and damaging buildings, medics and police said.
Police said a bomb placed under a car exploded outside the Russian cultural centre in the Verdun district. Ambulances with sirens blaring raced to the scene, which was covered by thick smoke.
