SAMSUN - "Now it`s our people`s turn. They said (get united) and we did. Now people should get united for the polls," said Republican People`s Party (CHP) Chairman Deniz Baykal on Sunday.
Baykal and Democratic Left Party (DSP) Chairman Zeki Sezer answered reporters before leaving the "Rally for the Republic" staged in Black Sea port city of Samsun.
"It was a fabulous demonstration. I am very happy to be here with Mr. Sezer. This was also colorful for the demonstration," said Baykal.
On the other hand, DSP leader Sezer said recent demonstrations, which were staged in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Manisa, Canakkale in past one month, showed that Turkish people were determined to maintain the republic.
"Noting will be as it was used to be in Turkey from now on. Turkey went through difficulties. We had concerns, but these demonstrations showed us not to be desperate. Our future will be good. All of us should do our part," he said.
