Yachts Attending Eastern Mediterranean Yacht Rally In Girne

GIRNE - Yachts from several countries participating in the Eastern Mediterranean Yacht Rally (EMYR) arrived in Girne, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Saturday.
The yachts attending EMYR-2007 sailed from Istanbul Atakoy Marina to Kemer and then from Alanya Port to Girne.
A total of 67 yachts from 17 countries including USA, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Turkey, Norway, Canada, Austria, Britain, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, New Zealand, Ireland and Bulgaria are racing in the rally.
TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat hosted a reception in honor of participants at Girne Castle.
Yachtsmen will visit touristic attractions in TRNC on Sunday.
Yachts will leave Girne for southern city of Mersin on May 21st.
The rally will end at Herzliya Marinas in Israel on June 20th.
