ANKARA - Commanders of Black Sea navies met in Istanbul on May 16th at a meeting hosted by Turkish Naval Forces Commander Yener Karahaoglu to discuss safety of Black Sea, cooperation activities regarding naval security and energy safety.
The meeting was attended by commanders of naval forces of Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, plus NATO`s Allied Joint Force Commander in Naples and Commander of Allied Maritime Component Command in Naples.
On the other hand, at another meeting on May 17th, Black Sea Naval Commanders Committee discussed Black Sea Naval Cooperation Task Group`s (BLACKSEAFOR) previous and future operational training activities with the participation of commanders of Black Sea coastal countries.
The next meeting of the committee will be hosted by Ukraine.
