MOSCOW - Totally 39 Turkish workers are kept waiting at Sheremetyova Airport in Moscow since last Sunday and they are not permitted to enter the country.
The workers who work in a Turkish construction company working in Russia, were told at the airport that their documents were incomplete, but it was not clearly told what was incomplete. The officials of the Turkish company said that the documents of the workers were not incomplete, adding that the workers were neither sent back to Turkey, nor permitted to enter Moscow.
Turkish Embassy in Moscow could not get any result from its initiatives so far. Particularly in the last one month, Turkish citizens face many difficulties during customs control in Russia. Many Turkish citizens who came here by charter planes and tourist visas were sent back to Turkey.
Turkish Embassy noted in its statement about the issue that initiatives were taken about the issue at the Russian Foreign Ministry, adding that Turkish Foreign Ministry also brought the problems faced by Turkish citizens in Russian airports to the agenda of the Russian Embassy in Ankara.
