Baykal: I Will Feel Happy When Political Immunity Is Lifted

ANKARA - "I am quite happy with what was achieved. I will feel the same happiness when we lift the political immunity at the parliament," said Republican People`s Party (CHP) chairman Deniz Baykal, commenting on the cooperation between CHP and Democratic Left Party (DSP) for the upcoming elections.
Speaking with a group of reporters at CHP`s HQ, Baykal said CHP and DSP have fulfilled an important duty by opting for an electoral cooperation.
Baykal stressed that they acted quite carefully and paid attention to the public`s demand when taking such decision.
Pointing to the primary plans he wants to actualize after the elections as well, Baykal said, "I will be as happy as I am now, when we lift the political immunity at the Turkish parliament".
