4th Thessaloniki Book Fair Opens

TURKEY JOINS WITH 1,500 PUBLICATIONS

THESSALONIKI - Greek President Karolos Papoulias on Thursday inaugurated 4th International Thessaloniki Book Fair.
Turkey attends the fair, in which 47 countries participate, with 1,500 publications.
Among the Turkish books displayed at the stand of Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, there are publications about Ataturk and Thessaloniki, books promoting Turkey, Turkey`s classical authors, books of Nobel prize winning novelist Orhan Pamuk, and 45 books translated into other languages.
The fair will last till May 20th.
People who will visit Turkish stand will be briefed on Turkish literature, International "Rumi" Year as well as on Istanbul which was designated as European Cultural Capital in 2010.
