We Will Protect Turkey And Our Common Principles, Baykal

ANKARA - "We will protect Turkey and our common principles," Deniz Baykal, the chairman of the Republican People`s Party (CHP), said on Thursday.
"We will give hand-in-hand to strengthen Turkey as a secular democratic republic," he told reporters after meeting Zeki Sezer, the chairman of Democratic Left Party (DSP), at CHP HQ in Ankara.
Baykal stated that Turkish nation has been waiting for such a move for some time, and said, "I believe that our citizens will welcome our decision and embrace us."
Underlining Sezer`s contribution to this process, Baykal said, "he has helped us overcome minor discussions and made a responsible and brave decision that will bring Turkey to the target it has longed for some time."
