ISTANBUL - "The (textile) exports are on the rise. Textile exports are up 24 percent and ready-to-wear exports are up 16 percent this year when compared with last year," Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Thursday.
"Turkey is hosting the most important home textile fair in the world right now," he commented as he visited the Istanbul Home Textile Fair (EVTEKS 2007) opened at the CNR Expo Center.
Tuzmen added, "we are making Turkey a brand country. All our home textile companies are a brand today, and we have proved ourselves in the best way in this challenging competition."
