Turkey Received 6 Billion Usd In Credits From IMF

ANKARA - Turkey has received six billion USD in credits up to now from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) within the framework of the 19th Stand-By arrangement, financial sources said on Thursday.
Turkey is eligible to receive an additional four billion USD within the stand-by arrangement that ends in 2008.
The IMF Executive Board will convene in a meeting on Friday to discuss the Sixth Review and article 4 within the framework of the stand-by arrangement.
Once the Sixth Review report is approved by the IMF Executive Board, 1.2 billion USD will be released for Turkey.
Based on new calculations, Turkey`s quota in the IMF will rise and Turkey will be able to receive more credits, sources also indicated.
