Second Meeting Of Turkey - Africa Foreign Trade Bridge

ISTANBUL - A joint declaration released at the end of the second meeting of Turkey-Africa Foreign Trade Bridge Program drew attention to increasing economic inequalities between the industrialized and developing countries in a globalizing world.
Ministers from 20 African countries came together at the meeting sponsored by the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen & Industrialists (TUSKON).
At the end of the meeting, they signed a joint declaration in which they stressed that problems stemming from poverty are the most serious obstacles in front of the sustainable development.
"We are extremely concerned about gradually increasing economic imbalances between the industrialized and developing countries in a globalizing world. This widespread imbalance should be eliminated with cooperation of international development agencies, multilateral finance institutions and other relevant mechanisms. We call on the international community to work together to put an end to poverty in the world," they said.
