"Turkish Culture Night" In New York

NEW YORK - "Turkish Culture Night" was held in New York, USA for the third time this year.
The event was hosted by Mayor of Brooklyn Marty Markowitz at the city hall.
Taking the floor at the event, Markowitz said Brooklyn is the district where a large Turkish population is resided. He said they were proud of Turkish-American community.
On the other hand, Turkish Consul General in New York Menmet Samsar said Brooklyn is the "capital" of Turkish people living in the USA. Samsar said they would support Markowitz to see him as the Mayor of New York.
Guests of the event enjoyed Turkish cuisine and watched films promoting Turkey. A Turkish folk dance group from Turkey and Boston College Dance Ensemble performed their shows at the garden of the city hall.
