Counter-narcotics Operations

MALATYA/IZMIR/GAZIANTEP/AYDIN/BANDIRMA - Security forces impounded 24.3 kg of heroin, 29.1 kg of hashish and 10 gram of cocaine in counter-narcotics operations in several cities.
They confiscated 24.3 kg of heroin hidden in cache of an automobile in the eastern city of Malatya with the help of a sniffer dog.
In Izmir, security forces confiscated 5.5 kg of hashish during a raid in a house.
Security forces seized 12 kg of hashish in the southeastern city of Gaziantep.
During the operations, 53 people were detained for illicit drug trafficking.
