ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul expressed his profound sorrow over recent developments in Palestine.
Releasing a statement on Tuesday, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Gul held telephone conversations with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh earlier in the day.
During the talks, Gul expressed his profound sorrow over recent developments, and highlighted importance of preserving solidarity in Palestine.
Gul also said that Turkey was ready to do its utmost to prevent bloodshed and to safeguard unity and solidarity.
