BRUSSELS - Turkish Cypriots staged a demonstration in Belgian capital of Brussels, demanding the removal of isolations on Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Demonstrators asked for the acceptation of the Direct Trade Regulation, recognition of Turkish Cypriot universities by European education system and inclusion of TRNC in Bologna process.
Led by the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO), several universities and NGOs in TRNC attended the demonstration.
KTTO officials stated that European Council should keep its promises and promptly approve the Direct Trade Trade Regulation.
