SABAH - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is exerting efforts to make Justice & Development (AK) Party a central one," writes Sabah`s columnist Aydin Ayaydin.
According to Ayaydin, the ruling AK Party aims to get an advantageous position over its rivals by nominating publicly well-known names.
Ayaydin writes, "AK Party has been holding talks with three names. Executives of the party got in touch with Cem Kozlu (academician and businessman), Ertugrul Gunay from CHP (the main opposition Republican People`s Party) and Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) chairman Zafer Caglayan, last week.
Sources close to AK Party told me that these three names are approaching positively to the idea of running as an AK Party member. They are expected to make a final decision within this week."
"AK Party has other surprising candidates as well" concludes Ayaydin.
