Summer In West, Snow In Van

VAN - Although western regions of Turkey have already welcomed summer with high temperatures, it is still winter in eastern city of Van`s Bahcesaray town.
The 46 kilometers long highway connecting Bahcesaray to Van was buried under about 10 meters of snow that is being cleared by the Turkish Highway Department.
In the past, the Bahcesaray-Van highway would remain closed for eight months in a given year due to extremely heavy snow fall.
