Denktas Receives De Soto

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas received on Wednesday U.N. Secretary General's special envoy for Cyprus Alvaro De Soto.
TRNC Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Serdar Denktas, some other officials and De Soto's delegation are also in attendance in the meeting.
No statement was released before the meeting at President's Office.
The method of negotiations on Cyprus issue which will resume on Thursday will be determined and preliminary work will be discussed in the meeting.
De Soto earlier met with Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos.
Meanwhile, Denktas will receive European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen on Thursday.
