ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed on Tuesday Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson, who is currently in Ankara, with an official ceremony.
State Minister Besir Atalay, Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun, Parliamentary Human Rights Commission Chairman Mehmet Elkatmis and other officials attended the ceremony.
Erdogan and Persson had a tete-a-tete meeting. They will later chair meetings between the delegations.
Erdogan and Persson, who is the first Swedish prime minister who visited Turkey, will hold a joint press conference after meetings.
