Central Bank Monetary Policy Board Convenes

ANKARA - Central Bank Monetary Policy Board convened in Ankara on Monday.
Central Bank Governor Durmus Yilmaz, who also heads the board, and deputy governors Erdem Basci, Burhan Goklemez, Mehmet Yorukoglu and member Ibrahim Turhan participated in the meeting.
A statement released after the meeting said that the board did not change the short-term interest rates. Accordingly, overnight borrowing interest rate remained at 17.50 percent.
