French Ambassador: Sarkozy Would Think Different About Turkey's EU Membership

IZMIR - French Ambassador to Turkey Paul Paudade said on Monday that Nicolas Sarkozy, the winner of French presidential election, is a realistic person and would think different about his pre-election remarks regarding Turkey`s EU membership.
Upon a question on Sarkozy`s opposition to Turkey`s EU membership, Paudade told reporters during his visit to Izmir Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu that Sarkozy had some negative remarks.
"Sarkozy would think different from his pre-election remarks and would be more careful about Turkey`s EU membership," Paudade said.
