"New Democrat Party" Founded

ANKARA - Turkey`s 56th political party "New Democrat Party" was founded on Monday.
A petition regarding the foundation of New Democrat Party`s was submitted to Turkish Ministry of Interior. The founding members number 30.
Earlier, True Path Party (DYP) and Motherland Party (ANAVATAN) announced that they would unite under the name "Democrat Party (DP)", but it was revealed that DP has already been founded by Cemal Sen.
In the meantime ANAVATAN started legal proceedings affirming that royalty of DP (as party name) belongs to ANAVATAN. If no results are obtained from this initiative, DYP and ANAVATAN will unite under the brand of "New Democrat Party".
