ANKARA - Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan is to leave for Paris in order to attend the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) annual Ministerial Council Meeting to be held on 15-16 May 2007.
Economy and finance ministers of OECD countries, as well as representatives of international organizations will participate to the meeting.
Among issues to be discussed are: globalisation, growth and equity; innovation and growth; enlargement of the OECD and enhanced engagement with selected non-OECD countries; and future challenges for an open global trading system.
The meeting will be chaired by Deputy PM & Minister of Economy of Spain, Pedro Solbes.
