ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that after submission of U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's statement to the sides at 3.30 p.m. (Turkish local time), Ankara would make preparations and negotiations rapidly.
Upon a question, Erdogan told journalists that ''we don't know the content of the documents to be given to the sides now. After its content is known, we will complete our preparations and negotiations rapidly. We will talk to Mr. Rauf Denktas and other friends and give a decision about the step to be taken.''
When a reporter asked that ''we know what will happen if the Turkish side rejects the plan, but what will happen if the Greek Cypriot side rejects it?'' Erdogan replied, ''please be patient.''
