ISTANBUL - All crewmen of a Russian-flagged cargo vessel, which ran aground off Kilyos Aslanburnu region in Istanbul, were rescued on Friday.
Officials told the A.A correspondent that the Russian-flagged ship, ''Strontsiy'', which was sailing from Russia to Greece, anchored off Turkeli region on Thursday as the Istanbul Strait was closed to transit passages due to bad weather conditions.
The Russian-flagged cargo ship which is 2 thousand 481 gross tons in weight and 100 meters in overall length went adrift due to heavy storm and ran aground off Kilyos Aslanburnu region.
Eleven-member crew of the ship were rescued. One of them suffers a broken leg.
