Third Day Session Of Cyprus Talks

ONE-HOUR DELAY IN TRIPARTITE MEETING

NEW YORK - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus President Rauf Denktas and Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos who came to the U.N. building in New York for the third session of the Cyprus talks are now in two separate rooms and U.N. officials are holding shuttle diplomacy between the two leaders, sources said on Thursday.
There was a one-hour delay in the tripartite meeting of Denktas, Papadopoulos and U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan and the meeting would start at 11 p.m. Turkish local time, sources said.
U.N. officials said the tripartite meeting was delayed for one hour as technical preparations could not be completed.
