One Ship Sinks Near Canakkale Strait

ONE CREW MEMBER MISSING
CANAKKALE - One crew member is missing after two ships collided near Canakkale strait in severe snowstorm on Thursday.
Two ships collided off Karabiga port of northwestern Canakkale province. The ship namely ''Mare'' sank, while its eleven crew members were rescued. But one crew member is missing.
Liberian-flagged cargo ship, the Solar Europe, broke free of its mooring at the harbour due to snowstorm and rammed into the St Vincent-flagged ''Mare'' which was at the same harbour. Mare sank after the collision.
Officials said that they were searching for the Syrian crew member who was missing.
