SOFIA - Ankara Governor Yahya Gur, who is currently in Bulgaria, met on Thursday with Bulgarian Interior Minister Georgi Petkanov.
Gur and Petkanov discussed cooperation between the two countries in fight against international terrorism, organized crimes, drug smuggling and human trafficking in the meeting.
Stating that the meeting was very good, Gur said that cooperation between interior ministries of Turkey and Bulgaria continued well.
Gur recalled that interior ministries of Turkey and Bulgaria signed cooperation agreement in 1998.
Underlining that cooperation between countries in fight against smuggling and organized crimes was very important, Gur said that Turkish and Bulgarian police made successful joint operations in both countries especially in recent years.
Ankara Governor Gur's visit to Bulgaria will end on Friday.
