ANKARA - Al Di Meola, a renowned instrumental jazz guitarist, will perform in Ankara on May 29th.
The American guitarist who sold more than 6 million records worldwide and who is known for his unique guitar technique, will meet Turkish music lovers in Ankara again, after his latest performance in the city 3 years ago.
Al Di Meola and his group "Midsummer Night Quartet" will play songs from the artist`s latest album "Consequences of Chaos", as well as pieces from his previous records.

Al Di Meola who was born to an Italian family in Jersey City, New Jersey and grew up in New York, enrolled in the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in 1971. In 1974, he joined Chick Corea`s band, Return to Forever, and played with the band until 1976.
Di Meola went on to explore a variety of styles, but is most noted for his Latin- influenced jazz fusion works.
In addition to 21 solo albums, di Meola played with famous musicians such as Chick Corea, Frank Zappa, Pavarotti, John Mclaughlin, Paco De Lucia, Jimmy Page, Phil Collins, Santana, Steve Vai, Jean-Luc Ponty, Paul Simon and Aziza Mustafa Zadeh.
