Erdogan On Election Of Sarkozy As French President

ANKARA - "I hope French president-elect Nicolas Sarkozy will not make remarks similar to those he made in his election campaign with respect to (Ankara`s) European Union process and Turkish-French relations," Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday.
Responding to the questions of reporters on Sarkozy`s election as president in France, Erdogan said, "this is the choice of French people. We should respect to their decision."
Asked if this could have a negative impact Erdogan said, "we`ll see what will be the practice."
Erdogan also said they sent a message to congratulate Sarkozy.
